Pointy Nails Are Character
Around nail bars, I see most girls opting for squared or rounded nails. Very few actually go for sharp pointy nails, which had been my favorite shape for a while by now.
Pointy nails for me are more than a beauty statement, they are a personality statement and a bold claim of individuality and fashion forwardness. It takes a bold moment to decide to sharpen your nails; after all, it is a decision to look a little more intimidating and aggressive.
Style is more than just a whim, it is also a woman’s way to represent herself. Having said that, opting for daring choices such as pointy nails, shouldn’t be random. Opt for sharp nails if you see yourself daring, strong, fearless, ambitious and aggressive in pursuing your dreams.
Pointy nails, of course, can’t be everyone’s choice; because the shape of the hand and basic shape of the nails and their strength play a role in determining the final choice. But when you have thin hands and long fingers, pointy nails can be truly elegant, providing they are not too long and bordering on being witch nails.
And my three nail care tips for pointy nails are:
1- Make sure you always start with a hardening base coat, because pointy nails can get fragile around the tips.
2- Keep your colors in check; nudes, muted pastels and deeply dark colors are the best choices for pointy nails. Shy away from neons and glittery nail polishes or nail designs.
3- Keep your sharp nails at middle length: Short and sharp is not elegant, too long and pointy is very tacky.
