Strong Makeup Is For Strong Women
I heard almost everything about strong makeup. But the two arguments that are usually used the most are: Strong makeup is for insecure women; and its total opposite statement that strong makeup is for bold confident women.
In my opinion, there’s some truth to both statement. Some insecure women wear strong makeup for they are interested in hiding their flaws -or what they perceive as their flaws. But some strong women, who go around a la naturelle a lot of times, also like to wear statement makeup sometimes.
I do not understand all the accusations behind strong makeup and statement makeup, or that love and hate relationship, rather that love and fear relationship with it. Not everyone wearing strong makeup is ugly underneath it all, nor insecure. Makeup is a mood, and a lot of moods correspond perfectly to such a makeup.
When it comes to me; I admit that I am only without makeup at home, around friends and at the gym or so ; but I also go with minimal makeup most of the time (concealer, loose powder, bronzer, mascara and lipstick).
However, I am also into statement makeup whenever the time justifies it; and when I do go for strong makeup, it is either dramatic eyes or dark lips. What I try to avoid at all costs in too much shine. Pulling this makeup at home shouldn’t be hard (except the lashes), come to me i can help.
Do not shy away from strong makeup; once a while looking strong and dramatic can be your thing.

Pointy Nails Are Character
Around nail bars, I see most girls opting for squared or rounded nails. Very few actually go for sharp pointy nails, which had been my favorite shape for a while by now.
Pointy nails for me are more than a beauty statement, they are a personality statement and a bold claim of individuality and fashion forwardness. It takes a bold moment to decide to sharpen your nails; after all, it is a decision to look a little more intimidating and aggressive.
Style is more than just a whim, it is also a woman’s way to represent herself. Having said that, opting for daring choices such as pointy nails, shouldn’t be random. Opt for sharp nails if you see yourself daring, strong, fearless, ambitious and aggressive in pursuing your dreams.
Pointy nails, of course, can’t be everyone’s choice; because the shape of the hand and basic shape of the nails and their strength play a role in determining the final choice. But when you have thin hands and long fingers, pointy nails can be truly elegant, providing they are not too long and bordering on being witch nails.
And my three nail care tips for pointy nails are:
1- Make sure you always start with a hardening base coat, because pointy nails can get fragile around the tips.
2- Keep your colors in check; nudes, muted pastels and deeply dark colors are the best choices for pointy nails. Shy away from neons and glittery nail polishes or nail designs.
3- Keep your sharp nails at middle length: Short and sharp is not elegant, too long and pointy is very tacky.

Tips For A Perfect Retro Makeup
A simple retro makeup is always a good choice. Why? Because it can be made to fit any situation, any occasion and any outfit. There’s no makeup I can think of, besides no-makeup makeup, that can be as versatile as the black eyeliner + red lips makeup.
Assuming you are comfortable with applying eyeliner quickly and easily; this is one makeup that can be applied within 15 minutes to fit a wedding.
I will not go through the step by step process of retro makeup, because it is too obvious and simple. But here are a few tips to pull it perfectly:
1- You will not have much going on in your makeup, so nothing will divert attention from your skin. Make sure your skin is flawless: Your dark circle are well covered, your imperfections concealed and your countouring products perfectly blended.
2- Do not leave your eyelids completely naked. Instead, use a light champagne pink eyeshadow to give a glow to the eyelid from the lashes line to the eyebrows.
3- Do countour your face, but let it be very subtle. Sharp face countouring with red lips will give you everything but a natural look.
4- Focus on your eyebrows and on your lashes, try to strike the balance between dramatic and natural, at well done but not excessive.
5- By all means keep the whole look matte. Red and shiny do not function well together if you are planning to look elegant and sophisticated.
6- Use a light bronzer with a very very natural effect. Keep your heavier bronzers for the dramatic summer and sun looks; retro looks are on the other side of the spectrum.
7- Use a real red color that’s neither too dark nor orange-red. The classic retro look is based on a true red pout that’s center staged. Now that all other elements are downplayed, make sure you get the right red for your star element.

On Women Who Wear A Lot Of Makeup
I hear a lot on women who wear a lot of makeup.
-She must be insecure.
-She must have a lot to hide.
-She must be too ugly under all of these layers…
You name it, I heard it.
But how can we reconcile our views of the ladies who wear a lot of makeup with the rise of numerous successful beauty bloggers and artists, and all the campaigns worth millions of dollars to encourage ladies to buy more makeup products and teach them how to use them??
I mean who doesn’t follow Huda Kattan, Laura Badura, and Goar Avetisyan religiously? If you’re not, you are either off social media or simply lying :)
So here are my two cents on the issue:
Makeup is not necessarily a form of insecurity.
First of all, makeup cannot make an ugly woman beautiful. It merely enhances what a lady already has; and makes a bad skin day, a good one.
It is utterly unfair from the media to have such schizophrenic views; first promoting all of these makeup products and tutorials, then shaming women for wanting to put some of them to use.
This doesn’t mean that waking up and painting one’s face every single day, on the beach or to the gym is okay; but it goes to say that for every dollar spent on makeup due to all of these campaigns, the media must refrain from an extra too-much-makeup comment.
Makeup nowadays evolved from being face-paint to being more fit to the human features. Going back to history, makeup made a long way and no longer deserves these nasty labels. Cosmetics brands evolved into look-good brands giving choices ranging from no-makeup makeup to more dramatic choices; leaving ladies with the option to play around with how much drama do they want to add to their natural face.
Think Egypt, Saharan Africa and Ancient Japan; when makeup was truly irrational paint, but
never faced this much shaming.
If Cleopatra wore dramatic eyeliner every single day of her life and was never shamed for it; none of us women deserves to be shamed for wanting to look better.
So get up, wing your eyeliner, and do not take shit from the media.

How To Repair Severely Damaged Hair
I have been brown to blond and vice versa for the past two years. Needless to say, this has left me with less than perfect hair that is beautiful in terms of color and style; yet very very tired when it comes to texture and resistance.
Blond hair is definitely a trend, but going blond repetitively take a heavy toll on your hair. Mine was left weak, brittle, dry and breaking. I had to do a lot of research on how to repair severely damaged hair to save myself; and after I figured out what works and what doesn’t, I am putting up this post to help all of you planning to go blond to repair their severely damaged newly bleached hair:
-While turning blonde, ask your hairdresser to cut your weak and breaking hair tips anyway. These parts will break eventually after being bleached and will fall off of themselves; so you’d better come out with an even cut.
-Perform your first oil treatment right after your hair processing. Your hair has just severely weaken and you need not lose a minute before starting to help it regain some strength and moisture.
-Use a moisturizing hair mask whenever you step into the shower; preferably up to three to four times a week. Your dryer hair will regain some moisture and become easier to comb through and will break less.
-Use an overnight protein mask. Proteins are very important for damaged hair for they fill in the holes and rebuild the hair strand by strand. Do this once per week.
-Use your free time at home to use some essential oils treatments (serums or masks) on your hair for as long as possible.
-Use moisturizing sprays and serums to make your hair look glossier, and moisturize it at the same time.
-Avoid the heat as much as possible. My formula is to use a leave-in conditioner, skip the hairdryer, let my hair air dry then straighten it with an iron as fast as possible.
-Cut back on your salon visits unless you are going to give yourself a repair treatment.
-Avoid staying for long hours in chlorine water or salty water; always make sure your rinse your hair afterwards, and before sun exposure.
Your hair should be better within one month of these treatments. Always remember that bleached hair will never be as healthy as untouched hair; but it can regain a lot of its previous strength and shine with persistent care.

How To Get Long And Hard Nails
We all love having long hard nails and that fabulous full manicure. However most people do get weak and brittle nails; or end up with a nail or two breaking throughout trying to get there. So how do you get long and hard nails?
I will tell you a secret; nails are not eternally bound to a certain condition; because they are directly affected by your health and external conditions.
If you are following my page; then you already noticed I have long hard nails and a full manicure done all the time; first they are my real nails, second yes it takes effort!
Here are my 5 tips, if you want nails like mine:
1- Keep your fingers out of your mouth, at any price!! And yes I know we all tend to peel layers off of our nails or peel the nail polish. Just, don’t.
2- Never leave your nails totally naked during the day; have at least a layer of vitaminated base quote.
3- Avoid excessive water; so if you are washing the dishes or doing the laundry or so, do wear gloves.
4- Avoid keeping your nails undone for a long time; nails should be exposed to the air and the sun once in a while (a day per week or so); but having them filed and fully done will also help protect them.
5- Use a high quality base coat with minerals, vitamins and essentially calcium at all times under your nail polish and on the days where you are not wearing any.
